This privacy policy (Privacy Policy) sets out how BFD Education Pty Ltd ACN 631 693 788 (we, our, or us) collects, stores, uses, protects, shares and discloses your personal information. It applies to our website accessible at childcareconnect.com.au and its related services, products, websites, applications and tools (together the Website). By visiting or using the Website you agree to the collection, storage, usage and disclosure of your personal information by us in the manner described in this Privacy Policy.
Capitalised words in this Privacy Policy have the same meaning as in the Terms and Conditions available on the Website.
- Types of Personal Information we collect
As part of delivering our Services we may collect personal information about you as defined under the Privacy Act 1998 (Privacy Act). We will only collect personal information where it is reasonably necessary for the performance of our functions or activities. The personal information we collect may include the following:
Babysitters
- Information provided while registering your Babysitting Services: this includes information that we collect in order to post any information about you on the Website or to provide the Services to you. The information we collect may include your name, your address, email address, telephone details, age & date of birth, photo, next of kin or emergency contact details, education, employment history, references/referee details and first aid qualifications and other details of the booking and any other contact details and information you directly give us.
General
- Website use information: When you use our Website, for example when you contact us we collect information that enables the Website to be able to run.
- Surveys: information in connection with client surveys, questionnaires and promotions.
- Other information: we collect related to your use of the Website: your device identity and type, I.P. address, geo-location information, page view statistics, advertising data and standard web log information and any other information provided by you to us via our Website or our online presence, or otherwise required by us or provided by you.
Please note that we act solely as an introduction service that facilitates the booking of Babysitting Services provided by Babysitters to Healthcare Professional. As such, we do not collect, store, use, disclose or otherwise have access to any personal information that is provided between Babysitters and Healthcare Professionals. If you require access to such information you should contact the Babysitter or Healthcare Professional responsible. We are not responsible and have no control over such personal information.
As part of delivering our Services we may also collect sensitive information which may also include health information as defined under the Privacy Act. Sensitive information is subject to a higher level of privacy protection than other personal information and is handled by us in the following ways:
- sensitive information will only be collected with consent, except in specified circumstances under the Privacy Act or it is otherwise required by law;
- sensitive information will not be used or disclosed for a secondary purpose unless the secondary purpose is directly related to the primary purpose of collection and within the reasonable expectations of the individual, or otherwise in specified circumstances under the Privacy Act or it is otherwise required by law;
- sensitive information will not be used for the secondary purpose of direct marketing;

We may also collect personal information from you when you use or access our Services or our social media pages. - in certain circumstances Users may report other Users and provide us with information about that other User;

- such entities that we propose to merge with or be acquired by.
If you access third-party services to login to the Website, or to share information with, these third-party services may be able to collect your information in accordance with their privacy policies. We may also send your personally identifiable information to our payment service providers.
Any information that you post or share or otherwise disclose to the Website or our social media platforms, becomes available to the public, as controlled by any applicable privacy settings you set. Please note that others may also share your content or share content about you. Anything that you share on the Website or on social media platforms is at your own risk.
We may also aggregate and/or make anonymous your personal information including sensitive information to make it available for the purposes of generating statistical data for the conducting of research and improving the Website.
